Ebuka Nwokeji claimed Bronze in the 200m final at the 2026 British Championships in Birmingham, crossing the line in 20.55 — a senior podium at the British Championships, against the fastest men in the country, and the medal that opened a breakthrough 2026 on the international stage.

The result capped a rapid rise for the 19-year-old: in the same season he was selected for England at the Commonwealth Games, selected for Great Britain at the European Championships — becoming the youngest male athlete chosen for the GB team — and reached the 200m Semi-Final at those Euros in Birmingham. His 20.55 in the British Championships final matched the 200m personal best he had already set earlier in the season, alongside a 400m PB of 45.82.

It's the medal that took Ebuka from junior athletics into senior national and international competition inside a single season — and, at 19, the story is only beginning.
